The Gana Sport throwing cage is a professional equipment designed and manufactured entirely of steel in our factories, designed to guarantee maximum safety and functionality during competitions and training in discus and hammer throwing. Approved according to the international World Athletics regulations, it is suitable for use in certified sports facilities and high-level stadiums.

The structure is composed of 12 perimeter poles in painted steel (possible galvanization to be estimated) to be firmly fixed to the ground by means of concrete plinths . Each pole is connected to the others by means of a system of straight and crossed horizontal bars , which gives the structure total stability and resistance to stresses caused by launches or adverse weather conditions.

The structure is completed by a large two-leaf mobile door , equipped with a five-point hinge system and high-resistance wheels , which allow for safe and smooth movement. The doors can be locked in place via a ground anchoring system , useful for modifying the opening angle of the cage during particular competition conditions, reducing the launch space according to the regulations.

The cage is entirely protected by a high tenacity nylon net , with a 45 mm square mesh , capable of absorbing the impact of the thrown tools and guaranteeing maximum protection for the public, judges and technical staff. The net has variable height :

• 720 cm in the rear area of the cage

• 1000 cm on the sides and on the mobile doors

Each door of the mobile door is equipped with an additional net with identical characteristics, also 1000 cm high, for double and safe protection.

The distance between the load-bearing structure and the net is 60 cm , allowing the installation of rapid tensioning and lowering systems. In fact, each pole and each goal is equipped with a pulley and rope system , which allows the net to be easily lowered for maintenance or ordinary management.

The entire net is fixed to the ground by means of a perimeter steel cable , while in the lower part there is an abundance of additional netting , designed to prevent any penetration by throwing equipment into the lower area of the cage, further increasing the safety of the facility.
